How To Take The Drama Out Of Wedding Favors

It is often the case that the simplest part of something, often takes the longest to arrange; wedding favors can be one of those. As a rule of thumb when organizing events, keep things simple as they have a habit of becoming complicated without any human intervention. This is a part of the arrangements, like the guest list and seating arrangement that will often cause unnecessary stress when there doesn’t have to be any.

Flowers are undoubtedly one easy wedding favor you can give to your guests. Fortunately, as far as the bride and groom are concerned, apart from choosing which flowers to have, there is little for them to do.

Red roses always look attractive and of course they don’t have to be wrapped like many other flowers. You can simply purchase one for each guest and have a member of the catering staff, a friend or family member place one rose across each place setting after the tables have been set for the wedding reception.

Although candy might be an easy wedding favor, it is immensely popular and with almost three out of every four weddings using it, often placed in a specially designed box. I like the idea that a number of receptions have started to use where the costly centerpiece is done away with completely. This can be accomplished by using large bowls filled with different types of candy as the centerpieces on each table.

All you need to do after this is arrange for each wedding guest to have a small box where they can place their candy. This could be called a self service gift because all you have to do is supply the candy and something to place it in.

Pictures frames can also work well especially if they are used as place card holders. This is a good idea but wrapping this type of wedding favor can put many people off especially when there are a large number of guests. If you use the frames to hold the place cards however, wrapping will not be necessary.

For those of you that like an easy wedding favor that is a little different then why not use a local photographer, you can have each guest pose for a shot which can be presented to them at the wedding reception. So to make sure each guest leaves with their photo, the photographer could take along a fast digital printer then they could be printed out while the guests are enjoying the reception. An unusual but pleasant wedding favor is presenting each guest with a professional photograph of them arriving at the wedding. If the photographer can arrange a slide show, the guests not only get a personal memento but they also get the opportunity to see how the photos turned out for all of the other guests as well.
